Orphans in India connecting with webshop Dutchess-Chai
Welcome to Dutchess-Chai a new product from Dutchessceramics and is connected with the organization www.Indiasorphans.eu and WFC. Wellnes for Children.
All ceramics products are fully donated for 100% to this project for India’s Orphans in Hardiwar, Noord India. Vera is very involved in this project and has been visiting this area since 2008 and got connected in 2010 with Dr.L.Raju.Boedt the founder of this new project. This Ceramics-project will be personally guided by Vera and she will be teaching and developing this ceramics department on Campus. From the Netherlands she will be in charge of the webshop. Couple of times a year she will be going to India to be sure that all products are made with high quality and be send out in the proper way. All products are handmade. You are buying a unique piece and helping a honest and pure project which we are you very thank full for, this project will give the possibility to the children, their new family’s a change for a better live . With the family’s they can be self supportive, they learn a trade and the children can bring in ideas for the decorations on the cups, plates, which we can use for future items. Only children older than 15 can work in the ceramic studio. Because we are now in our starting – building phase, all ceramics pieces are at the moment made by hand in Dutchess Ceramics Studio in the Netherlands and made by Vera herself. www.dutchessceramics.com .
We are hoping to start in 2012 with our ceramics from India
A piece of land is bought (3000m2) in 2010 in the village Patri, a small village 20 km from Hardiwar which is a famous pilgrim place for the Hindu people on the banks of the famous river Ganges and also the famous yoga-city Rishikesh is close by and you can organize walking tours on the foothills of the Himalaya’s, district Uttarkhand.
Around end of 2011/2012 we hope to start to build the first family-houses and then continue with a B&B for tourists and Art/ceramics Studio, Yoga-Studio. Also for Yoga-groups it will be interesting to come and stay on campus and be learning about the hindu-life, Indian cooking, meditation and Yoga.
